Arcane Duels
Everyone uses 1d10.
If you have Magical or Psionic Affinity, here are your bonuses:
Crystal, Topaz, Amber may add +1 to their roll.
Sapphire and Emerald may add +2 to their roll.
Ruby may add +3 to their roll.
Obsidian may add +4 to their roll.
If you are part of the Arcane Class, here are your bonuses:
Crystal, Topaz, Amber may add +2 to their roll.
Sapphire and Emerald may add +3 to their roll.
Ruby may add +4 to their roll.
Obsidian may add +5 to their roll.
You must have Magical or Psionic Affinity to participate in Arcane Duels! There are five rounds. You use magic dice of 1d10 to cast offensive magic, as well as defend against the magic attack somehow with defensive magic. You are welcome and encouraged to be creative with your roleplay!
Also remember our "Fair Fighting" Rule, you may earn XP for dueling those lower ranked than you but if you duel someone more than 1 gemstone below you, you do not gain a "win" for earning Ribbons.
1. State your name, and Dice Rank to determine your bonuses. If you are Arcane Class, state that as well.
2. Roll initiative, 1d20 + Quickness to determine who goes first.
3. First person makes their roleplay magical attack, then rolls their 1d10. For instance, you roll 1d10 and get 5.
4. Add in your bonus for your rank. For instance, if you are Sapphire and rolled 5, you add 2 for a total of 7.
4. Target roleplays their defense, and rolls 1d10. For instance, you roll 1d10 and get 3. Add in your bonus for rank, so if you are Sapphire you would add 2 for a total defense of 5.
5. 2 Damage goes to the Target, as you subtract the defense from the attack for total damage.
6. Continue on for Five Rounds.
7. Whoever has the least amount of damage at the end of Five Rounds is the Winner.

Loss: 1XP
Proctor: 1XP
